You may have noticed that simply stretching your cervical spine or doing mobility exercises at work, which are available in abundance, only provide short-term relief. They may loosen you up a little, but they won't change your sitting posture in the long term - and probably won't solve any of the symptoms of pain and tension in the long term.


A tennis player with neck pain is given the same stretching and strengthening exercises as the tense neck of a computer-stricken person. However, it makes a huge difference whether your neck is tense because your fingers are constantly hitting the keys or because your serve was poorly executed. At first glance, the neck tension looks the same - but the problem has arisen in very different ways.
